Sport 2 The Max, founded in 2023, is on a mission to provide top-quality sports equipment that boosts performance and helps athletes stand out.
Over the past three years, the company has been supplying schools and sports teams across Joburg South, steadily building a reputation for excellence. Schools such as Hoërskool Dinamika, Laerskool General Alberts, Alberton High School, and Laerskool President Steyn are among those making use of their equipment.
Beyond schools, Sport 2 The Max has extended its support to community development initiatives. Programmes like Ready2Rugby and Tiny Tacklers, as well as the Alberton Rugby Club, benefit from their equipment, highlighting the company’s commitment to uplifting grassroots sport.
As the official distributor of Challenger equipment, Sport 2 The Max recently unveiled the Challenger LiquidForce training range, a significant step forward in athletic training technology. The range employs unstable weight technology, giving teams and athletes a unique way to build skills and train smarter.
Marko van Rooyen, director at Sport 2 The Max, emphasised the importance of innovation in sports preparation.
“Our equipment is built for athletes who want more from their training. It’s not about training harder for the sake of it – it’s about training smarter, pushing limits, and preparing in a way that builds true game-day performance. We want to work with the schools and teams of Joburg South and beyond, giving them access to quality equipment without it costing a fortune,” said van Rooyen.
He added that the company regularly sponsors equipment to schools as part of its commitment to community development through sport.
