Haptics produces new onscreen ID for a movie house near you

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Nu Metro Cinemas recently unveiled their new onscreen leader, branding and corporate identity with a special breakfast for the media in Hyde Park.

The event hosted by the new marketing manager for Nu Metro Cinemas, Nitesh Matai, unveiled the identity that the Haptics Saber animation team created for the national cinema chain’s new corporate identity leader utilising the ultimate in 3D stereoscopic techniques and special effects.

“Following our vast array of accolades across a distinguished client base, Nu Metro Cinemas is proud to showcase our new corporate identity – including a new logo and brand colours – with this groundbreaking animated production from Haptics. From conceptualisation, to implementation of our client brief and execution, Haptics delivered on all fronts. This is a concrete visualisation of the vision and evolution of the new Nu Metro Cinemas brand,” said Matai.

This cutting-edge new animated production from Haptics will be screened before feature films in all Nu Metro cinemas nationwide.

“We have conceptualised and produced the new 3D stereoscopic animation together with powerful, immersive 7.1 digital surround sound for Nu Metro Cinemas. We were inspired by the full range of cinematic visual effects that are now integral to a movie’s story and appeal. Careful planning and choreography went into the execution of the animation concepts to cover all audiences and genres of film,” explained Don Searll from Haptics.

A special screening of the onscreen leader was scheduled in Hyde Park on October 23 where stakeholders and members of the media were given a preview of the movie, Learning To Drive.

The film stars Patricia Clarkson and Sir Ben Kingsley and will be screened exclusively in Nu Metro’s Cinemas including the movie house at The Glen Shopping Centre.
