Apart from Nu Metro’s standard 3D and 2D cinemas, this highly anticipated superhero-blockbuster will also start showing in Nu Metro’s Scene Xtreme cinemas in Gauteng.
Movie fans in Gauteng can look forward to ‘Captain America Civil War’ showing in Nu Metro’s Scene Xtreme cinemas at Clearwater Mall, Menlyn Park and The Glen. The movie will be showing with a full Dolby Atmos-soundtrack at Clearwater Xtreme, and with Dolby 7.1 surround sound at the other two Scene Xtreme cinemas.
Nu Metro’s specialized Scene Xtreme cinemas feature top-of-the-range sound equipment, RealD’s new large-format precision white screen-technology (delivering sharper and clearer visuals), world-class digital 3D technology as well as 4K ultra high definition projection for select titles.
‘Captain America Civil War’ showcases the biggest collection of Marvel superheroes ever assembled for the big screen. The film’s storyline kicks off when the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarises opinion among the Avengers, causing two factions to side with either Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) or Captain America (Chris Evans), resulting in an epic battle between former allies.
This is the third film in the Captain America franchise, and was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo – who were also responsible for the previous instalment in the series, ‘Captain America Winter Soldier’. It also features the appearance of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye as well as a host of other well-known Marvel characters and a few unexpected cameos. Early reviews for the film have already confirmed strong critical acclaim for this title, with ‘Entertainment Weekly’ describing it as “superhero movie perfection”.
