Bru’s celebrates first birthday with super charged comedy lineup in August

Since opening in August 2016, Bru’s has entrenched its reputation as the comedy hub of Ekurhuleni and shows no signs of stopping.

CARNIVAL City’s Bru’s celebrates its first birthday with a super charged lineup of outrageous comedians in the Whacked Comedy showcases every Friday night this August.

Since opening in August 2016, Bru’s has entrenched its reputation as the comedy hub of Ekurhuleni and shows no signs of stopping. In the mix for August are some of the country’s most sought after comedians, including John Vlismas, Darren Simpson, Mark Banks, Mel Miller, Tony de King and Tips and The Bandit. To mark Bru’s official birthday, the lineup on August 25 features two extra acts.

CELEBRATE: Mel Miller will be performing at the first birthday celebration of Bru’s at Carnival City.

Comedy fans are urged to pre book their tickets for the comedy shows to secure a seat. Tickets are available at Computicket. Shows start at 8.30pm every Friday. The lineup for August 18 is Darren Simpson, Tips, Glen Bo and Mo Vawda. The lineup for August 25 is Darren Simpson, Jason Goliath, John Vlismas, Mark Banks, Morgan Beatbox and The Bandit. In addition to weekly comedy, Bru’s also hosts live bands on Saturdays and Sundays.
