Outdoor family styled fun and artisanal goodies at first ever Carnival Market
CARNIVAL City will be launching its first ever Carnival Market this September at the outdoor Pocket park area which will feature stalls and exhibits of handcrafted goods, clothing, artisanal drinks and other products on the first Sunday of every month; the first being Sunday, September 3.
“This is the first craft and food fair of its kind for us. This market provides a wonderful platform for showcasing what our community has to offer. Buying local feeds our local economy so we hope the community will come out in support of this family-centered event,” said Michelle Smith, Marketing Manager at Carnival City.
The family styled Carnival Market boasts something for everyone, with live entertainment by well-known singer and SAMA nominee Pieter Koen and singer and Getroud Met Rugby actress Anlia van Rensburg. There will be a beer garden, free ice-skating, a mini carousel, bumper cars, children’s playground, face painting, artisanal stalls and delicious food.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of stalls which will include craft beer, the Gin Tin, Vintage wines, African handmade crafts, beaded jewellery, sand art, paella, prawns, calamari, craft burgers and baguettes, dim sum, Indian samoosas and biryanis, crystal kaleidoscopes, French crepes, pancakes, stuffed olives, trinkets, treasures, gifts, pates, chilli sauces, Pestos, baby apparel, clothing, pewter jewellery, succulents, artisanal cheeses, bespoke crochet items, cupcakes, hand bags, sling bags, fashion, detox juices and smoothies, milkshakes, coffee, cold drinks, home-made toffee, fudge, toffee apples and so much more!
