Holiday cheer with a movie under the stars

Stepping Stone Hospice will host this event at Reading Country Club in Fore Street, New Redruth, on Friday, December 7.

KICK-off the festive season with a movie under the stars, combined with a remembrance ceremony that will include the hanging of personalised Christmas decorations on the Tree of Remembrance.

Stepping Stone Hospice will host this event at Reading Country Club in Fore Street, New Redruth, on Friday, December 7. “We promise a fun-filled evening jam-packed with holiday cheer, traditional Christmas carols, moments to remember those that are not with us any more – and all of this under the summer night skies,” said Marietjie Tame, marketing and fund-raising manager at Stepping Stone Hospice.

The movie to be shown on the outdoor screen will be “Santa Clause 3,” and can best be described as Christmas cheer turning into holiday chaos with Santa and his head elf Curtis, having to foil a nefarious plot. Great family entertainment!

Pancakes, boerie and steak rolls and beverages will be on sale. Ticket price of R130 per adult and R100 per child under 12, includes a popcorn and Slush Puppy. Events will kick off from 5.30pm with the movie starting at 7.15pm.

The Tree of Remembrance will be moved to the Stepping Stone Hospice gardens in new Market Park where it will be featured for the balance of the holiday season.
