First accused for Phala-Phala theft appeared in court for bail application

Imanuawel David (39) appeared in the Bela-Bela Magistrate court on Wednesday, 6 December for bail application which was opposed by the state.

Imanuawel facing charges of three counts of breaking in and theft at the Phala-Phala farm and money laundering pleaded not guilty and applied for bail. He asked the court to grant bail, because he needs to support his family and must get into the work force so that he can pay for his legal representation.

Froiliana and David Joseph, charged with breaking in and theft received bail on Friday, 10 November. However, they must be present at the rest of the court proceedings.

Court was adjourned, because of loadshedding and the case will continue Thursday, 7 December.
