Our house was flooded again due to the rain. This is the fifth time now that our house has been water damaged.
Each time we place huge claims with the insurance company, and they replace the carpets and laminate flooring, swelled cupboards and furniture.
But ultimately the day will come where our continuous claims will be rejected.
The last flood was caused when water pipes were redirected from William Nicol Drive through the Witkoppen Clinic, and then allowed to flow like raging torrents into our road in Fairfield Estate.
We have installed French drains to try and alleviate the problem, however, the volumes of water just exceed the capacity of the drains.
The estate manager has been battling for years to get this attended to, but with no success.
Please can the powers that be assist the Fourways residents in this ongoing rain water battle.
