Jean-Pierre and Marushka Robinson lied to the victim to win his trust, and killed him in cold blood, said Judge Delize Smith in court on 20 August.
“Blom trusted Robinson and never thought they would do this to him. Despite, Blom’s hand of friendship to Robinson she did not care, and continued lying to everyone even after his [Blom’s] disappearance,” Smith said.
Smith added that it was clear that the crime was committed purely out of greed, and their reason of it being because of drugs was a cover up.
“[Both the accused are seen on CCTV], happy and laughing after Blom’s murder – knowing that he died in the boot. The couple ‘s fraud against Blom was about more than drugs – enough was not enough for them,” she said.
