The orientation will last one week and forms part of their welcome week as they start high school. Each Grade 8 pupil is allocated a mentor from Grade 11 to assist them in getting to know the high school to ensure they feel at ease.
The Grade 8s will also enjoy lots of fun activities during the first week, culminating in a Grade 8 welcome camp at the weekend with all the Grade 12 leaders.
This is a wonderful way to integrate these new pupils into the school as they build many happy memories of this exciting phase of their schooling, said the school.
