Children along with their families and friends were treated to an all-new exclusive screening of Smurfs: The Lost Village movie at Movies@Monte on 25 March.

The VIP families consisted of Montecasino’s reward cardholders, media, social media influencers, socialites and winners of a Montecasino Facebook competition.

The exclusive invite opened doors for the guests to interact with their favourite celebrities and with the official release being 31 March, the guests were the first people to watch the movie in the country.

The movie is an American 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks.

It is based on The Smurfs comic book series created by the Belgian comic artist Peyo, and is a Reboot film, unrelated to Sony’s previous live-action/animated films. It is written by Stacey Harman and Pamela Ribon, and directed by Kelly Asbury.

The movie sees Smurfette attempting to find her purpose in the village. When she encounters a creature similar to her in the Forbidden Forest who drops a mysterious map, she sets off with her best friends Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty to find the Lost Village before the evil wizard, Gargamel, does.

It stars Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf, Jack McBrayer as Clumsy Smurf, Danny Pudi as Brainy Smurf, and Rainn Wilson as Gargamel.

To stand the chance of attending an exclusive Movies@Monte pre-screening, simply become a Montecasino rewards member or follow the Montecasino Facebook page and look out for competitions running.
