Fourways High top achievers travel abroad

Three students from Fourways High School earned their way to become top achievers and are ready to tour the world.

Great times lie ahead for Boikanyo Mosala, Bella Pilay, and Tshepang Kgokong as these learners from Fourways High School were invited to participate in the annual Academic Achievers Tour.

This comes after these three learners performed well in their academics, and therefore, were invited by Travel and Sport – which is an organisation that invites top-performing learners for an experience to die for.

“What we do is that we go to schools and ask for top achievers. The learners are required to obtain at least a 75 percent average in their school subjects in order to qualify to travel overseas to experience opportunities overseas. This is not a bursary but more like an exhibition,” explained Travel and Sport operations officer, Natasha Erasmus.

The tour is set to start from September 28 till October 9. The students have also been given the choice to participate in the tour of the East Coast of America to attend private lectures and/or visits at Harvard, Yale University, MIT, Columbia, and Princeton.

This is an opportunity for great exposure to life outside of South Africa, as the trio will be sightseeing in cities such as Boston, New York and Washington. They also have a chance to build connections and start networking.

“We wish our students the best of luck during their travels!” shared the school’s marketing officer, Paula Agar.
