Play-based learning takes centre stage at Fourways Mall with Masterminds@Play

Masterminds@Play opens its doors at Fourways Mall, introducing a new era of learning through play for children, and seeking to empower women to become leaders in the community.

On October 10 Mindful Masterminds officially launched the Masterminds@Play store at Fourways Mall, aiming to revolutionise children’s interaction with technology and education.

Founded by Avashna Ramnarain, this woman-owned business seeks to empower South Africa’s youth through a unique blend of technology, innovation, and play.

The newly opened store introduces a vibrant, superhero-themed mini-city, designed to inspire creativity and resilience in children. With state-of-the-art virtual reality technology and STEM focused activity zones, like Virtual Visionaries and the Super Science Lab, Masterminds@Play aims to enhance critical thinking skills and foster confidence through immersive learning experiences.

“Our goal is to positively shape young minds, focusing on children, women, diversity, inclusion, and equitable employment. We want to create a community where every child becomes a hero and every woman is empowered to lead,” said Ramnarain

Masterminds@Play has also initiated the Free Expression Fridays programme to promote inclusivity, enabling children from underserved communities to receive nutritious meals and access to technology.

The venue caters to individual visits and group bookings, making it ideal for birthday parties and corporate events, fostering a sense of community through shared learning experiences.
