Spicy kombucha just for Christmas

Try this kombucha recipe from our friends at HTA School of Culinary Art for a spicy change this Christmas.

Let’s get a little spicy this festive season with some great tasting kombucha.

Here is a recipe for an apple-cinnamon kombucha that HTA School of Culinary Art thinks will tantalise your taste buds which serves about six people:

Ingredients
  • One cup apple cider, divided
  • One cup spiced rum
  • Four teaspoons fresh lemon juice (from one lemon)
  • One cup apple kombucha
  • Apple slices (optional)

Method
  1. Combine half cup apple cider, half cup spiced rum, and two teaspoons lemon juice in a cocktail shaker over ice; shake until chilled, about 30 seconds
  2. Pour over large ice cubes into two rocks glasses. Repeat with remaining apple cider, rum, and lemon juice
  3. Add a quarter cup apple kombucha to each glass. Garnish each with one cinnamon stick, and apple slices if desired.
