Douglasdale CPF invites residents to quarterly public meeting

Douglasdale Community Policing Forum calls on residents within the Douglasdale policing precinct to come voice their concerns and connect with local law at the quarterly public meeting.

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) committee invites residents to attend its quarterly public meeting to foster community engagement and enhance local safety initiatives.

Freda Boiles, of Douglasdale CPF, emphasised the significance of this meeting, saying: “This meeting presents a valuable opportunity for our community members to engage with key stakeholders and share their safety concerns, initiatives, and ideas.”

Scheduled for March 5, 18:00 to 20:00, at the Indaba Conference Centre Auditorium, the meeting will bring together community members, law enforcement representatives, and local leaders to discuss pressing safety issues affecting the Douglasdale policing precinct.

The Douglasdale South African Police Service (SAPS) will provide attendees with insights into crime-related activities within the policing precinct, while the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) will address local sector issues and offer constructive feedback.

Furthermore, ward councillors will be present to interact with residents.

Boiles added: “We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet and engage with our community. We firmly believe that by working together, we can create a safer environment for everyone within our policing precinct.”
