Douglasdale CPF chairperson welcomes residents to 2025

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) is looking forward to more projects in 2025, strengthening the organisation and renewing public trust in the police.

Lizzy Mabena, chairperson of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF), welcomed back residents from holiday.

“Welcome back to our Douglasdale. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and relaxation. It’s great to see our vibrant community coming back to life as we enter the new year. The roads are abuzz once again as families prepare to kick off the 2025 calendar year.”

She explained that in 2025, she hopes they can build on the successes of the previous year, by further strengthening the community bonds and enhancing their safety measures.

Their 2025 vision is to make Douglasdale an exemplary model of a secure, united, and proactive community. “I am hoping for more collaboration projects with various stakeholders in our community to address safety concerns. I am looking forward to launching new community engagement projects and safety campaigns. Engaging our youth and promoting greater participation from all residents in our CPF activities will be a key focus this year. Strengthening the organisation and renewing public trust in the police.”

She added that her message to the community is one of hope and collaboration. “Let’s embrace the new year with optimism and a shared commitment to making our community an even better place to live. By working together, we can overcome any challenges and create a thriving, safe, and inclusive community. Here’s to a prosperous and fulfilling 2025 for us all.”
