Rotary welcomes new members to drive positive change

Two good Samaritans joined the Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club, promising to bring kindness and change to their community.

On June 4, the Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club celebrated a special milestone by inducting two new members into its growing family.

The event was held at the picturesque Norscot Manor, bringing together club members, friends, and community leaders to welcome two passionate individuals committed to making a difference.

Among the new inductees were Sibongile Nkuna and Helen Mkudu, whose dedication to community service and development aligns perfectly with Rotary’s mission of service above self.

“Expanding our membership strengthens our ability as volunteers to make a meaningful impact in our local community. Rotary’s mission to create lasting change aligns with its seven areas of focus, which support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals: promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water and sanitation, supporting education, saving mothers and children, growing local economies, and protecting the environment.”

As the newest members of the club, the two have pledged to uphold the organisation’s guiding principles, including the four-way test: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
