Crawford International Fourways races ahead at interhouse athletics day

Students, parents, and teachers came together in a vibrant display of school spirit, teamwork, and athletic talent during Crawford International Fourways' annual interhouse athletics day. Ayanda Ntshingila

Crawford International Fourways recently brought its school community together for the much-anticipated annual interhouse athletics day. A lively and inspiring event that continues to be a favourite on the school calendar.

Filled with high energy, school spirit, and impressive displays of athleticism, the event saw students from grades 1 to 7 take to the track in a series of exciting races and mixed events.

The school’s three houses: Barrett (Grey), Cameron (Black), and Ladson (Red), competed with enthusiasm and determination, cheered on by teachers, classmates, and proud parents.

The atmosphere was electric throughout the day, with cheers echoing across the field as learners gave their all for house pride and personal bests. Whether running sprints, taking part in relays, or encouraging teammates from the sidelines, the students demonstrated commendable sportsmanship and unity.

Head of school Shivani Sahadeo shared that the interhouse athletics event was a tremendous success. “The day was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as talented athletes from all three houses competed, demonstrating their skills and sportsmanship. The highlight was the much-loved parents and teachers’ race at the end, adding an extra layer of fun and community involvement to the memorable occasion.”

Sahadeo extended heartfelt congratulations to all the young athletes for their effort and enthusiasm, and to the staff and supporters who helped make the day such a resounding success.
