EFC warrior turns defeat into fuel in pursuit of PFL Africa dream

Pretoria flyweight Tebatso 'The Glory of Torture' Molele is pouring everything into training at Mamelodi Warriors, declaring he's fully ready for any opponent and eager to step up at the next PFL Africa event on home soil.

Tebatso Molele, affectionately known as ‘The Glory of Torture’ in the hexagon, dropped a razor-thin split decision to Lihle Ngamnthwini at EFC 127 in September last year, a fight many deemed debatable at World Sports Betting Arena in Paulshof.

He dove straight back into intense sessions with Mamelodi Warriors, determined to evolve and dominate in the 125-pound division in 2026.

Molele’s 4-3-0 pro record showcases a well-rounded threat: two KO/TKO wins and two decisions. Highlights include a third-round TKO over Salahuddin Plaatjies at EFC 117 in September 2024, a unanimous decision victory against David Makane at EFC 114 in June 2024, and an earlier nod over Moses Mokhari at EFC 108 in 2023. His epic 15-minute battle with Willie van Rooyen at EFC 112 earned Fight of the Night, proving his warrior spirit.

Last year was mixed highs and heartbreak. Molele burst out strong, stopping Vuyo Jula with second-round punches at EFC 123 in May, thrilling fans with raw power. The EFC 127 loss, however, fueled his fire. “Early losses taught me more; this one’s a reminder to tighten up,” he reflected.

“I should’ve drilled more for his blitz, better head movement, and less reliance on what I thought would work.” He quickly reframed it: “That fight lit a fire in me. I’m back in the gym already, working on head movement, adding sprints for cardio, and drilling transitions so I don’t stall on the ground. I’m even bringing in a mental coach to stay locked in.”

His mindset is unbreakable. “My fighting style is undeniably dangerous,” Molele asserted. “I work with top trainers, constantly sharpening my tools. I trust my training because I see my progress. I am the best.”

On readiness: “I’m ready for an opponent, any opponent. Bring whoever, I’m prepared and hungry to show what I’ve been building.” He touched on his current mindset: “Training has been intense; every session pushes me closer to that next level. I’m locked in, no distractions, just work.”

The PFL Africa’s expansion excites him further. Season 2 launches April 10, 2026, at SunBet Arena in Pretoria, headlined by Nkosi Ndebele vs Michele Clemente in bantamweight, plus Justin Clarke vs Abdoulaye Kane in heavyweight.

While not on that card, Molele is vocal about his goals. “PFL’s tournament is my vibe. High stakes, back-to-back scraps. This is where I shine. I wish to fight at the next PFL event, hopefully soon, right here in Pretoria. That would be massive for me and the fans.”

Molele inspires with his discipline and determination. As he targets EFC title contention and prepares to announce his return, potentially on an EFC card soon, anticipation builds. ‘The Glory of Torture’ has turned pain into power, reloaded, and stands ready to take over in 2026.
