Paint manufacturer steps in to keep young football talent on the field
Versus Luxury Paint & Coatings has donated football kits to Transition Football Club, helping ensure young players are not left on the sidelines.
Sport has long been a powerful tool for shaping young lives, but for many talented children, opportunity and access do not always go hand in hand.
Too often, potential goes to waste when ability is met with financial barriers that make participation difficult. One paint manufacturing company, however, has stepped in to ensure that, at least for some young players, talent is not left on the sidelines.

Versus Luxury Paint & Coatings, a manufacturer of decorative paints and specialist coatings for both residential and commercial projects, has donated a number of football kits to Transition Football Club, a Johannesburg-based youth development programme, helping to ensure that financial barriers are never the reason a talented young player is left behind.
Transition Football Club coaches players aged five to 20, combining structured football training with a personal development programme.
The initiative, which takes place at Pinnacle College Kyalami, has built a strong local reputation for creating pathways to professional football and international scholarship opportunities.
The donation of kits will allow players from underprivileged backgrounds to train and compete on equal footing with their peers, removing a significant obstacle that often limits participation in organised sport.

“Sport plays a powerful role in building confidence, discipline and teamwork in young people,” said Shannon Prestia, marketing director of Versus Paint.
