Cycle the conservancy

The night rides are the brain-child of Darryl van Niekerk and started in April last year as a causal way to exercise, socialise and explore the wildlife of the conservancy by night. The rides became so popular, Van Niekerk hosted them on a regular basis – even on the cold winter nights which culminated with hot chocolate at the SA Lipizzaners.

Midrand police, community police forum and security companies also often accompanied the cyclists on their ride to protect them and seek out any criminal activity.

The rides start from the SA Lipizzaner Hall’s parking area at 7pm. All community members are welcome to join.
