Swine ‘flu in northern suburbs pre-school

JOBURG - A Fourways company was called in to decontaminate a Johannesburg northern suburbs pre-school after a Swine Flue outbreak

last week when it was established that siblings were confirmed to have swine ‘flu, resulting in the school having to close its doors until it was safe for children to return.

The effects of swine ‘flu spreading through a nursery or pre-school is something every parent and teacher dreads. “Babies and small children’s immune systems need to be protected. One of the ways of doing this is by having each classroom decontaminated in the correct manner”, said CSC Hygiene Gauteng area manager, Eileen de Jager.

“Since the first pre-school was decontaminated several schools have approached the company to decontaminate their schools.”

“We pride ourselves on our community involvement and want the public to know that no stone should be left unturned when it comes to caring for the health of our children,” said De Jager. She commented that CSC Hygiene, also known as Crime Scene Clean-up, is on a blitz to warn schools and parents that decontamination of classrooms, bathrooms and play areas needs to be undertaken to prevent the cross-contamination of swine ‘flu.
