Gadget’s seven little angels
FOURWAYS - Ark Animal Centre has seven new editions in the form of nine-month-old Gadget's newborn puppies.
Candice Eilertsen of Ark Animal Centre said that Gadget came to the centre from another animal shelter two weeks ago.
She explained that seven puppies is a huge litter for a dog of her size to birth but she handled it phenomenally well.
Eilertsen said, “Gadget’s was actually the easiest birth we’ve ever had. She’s a natural, we are so proud of her.”
Gadget and her puppies will be up for adoption in eight week’s time as soon as the puppies are weaned.
Eilertsen said, “Gadget is the most loving, amazing dog. We’ve only had her for two weeks but we all have such a soft spot for her. We have no doubt that her puppies are going to be just as special.”
Although the birth of Gadget’s puppies was a joyous occasion at Ark Animal Centre, Eilertsen also mentioned that it was very important for the public to sterilise their animals.
She said, “As cute as these puppies are they are also another seven dogs who now need homes.”
