Among them are Claire-Louse Anderson, Langa Twala, Marissa Viljoen, Nicola Bosman, Thiresan Naidoo and Juhi Panday.
Anderson is expecting eight distinctions. She plans to study a BSC medicine at Tuks this year because of her interest in human anatomy. Anderson’s long term goal is to become a medical examiner and travel to Japan and Scotland.
Twala is expecting eight distinctions in English, Mathematics, Isizulu, Life Orientation, Accounting, Physical Science, Life Sciences and Mathematics paper three. He was an exceptional all rounder during his matric year receiving full colours for drama, debating, public speaking and academics as well as fulfilling the position of SRC president. This year Twala is planning to study medicine at Tuks or Wits. He said, “My family inspires me because they are passionate and work hard for what they want.”
Marissa Viljoen is expecting nine distinctions and plans to study medicine at either Tuks, Wits or Stellenbosch this year. Viljoen’s long term goal is to become a world renowned surgeon and to play netball at national level.
Bosman is expecting nine distinctions including IT, History, Accounting and Advanced Mathematics. Bosman is planning to study BCOM Accounting at Tuks this year.
Dainfern reisdent, Naidoo expected nine distinctions for his matric exams and plans to study mechanical engineering at either Stellenbosch or UCT. Naidoo takes a keen interest in design architecture, software and gaming. “The person that inspires me the most is Elon Musk,” he said.”He is a South African innovator and genius who pushes himself to succeed.”
Juhi Panday expectED nine distinctions in her matric exams and plans to study medicine at Wits this year which will be the first step towards her dream of becoming a world renowned gynaecologist.
