Police urge public to claim their property
DOUGLASDALE - The Douglasdale police are urging the owners of items seized during raids or confiscated from crime scenes to claim their property as soon as possible.
Warrant Officer Anke Holle explained that during police raids suspects often abandoned their property and fled the scene. These items are taken to the Douglasdale Police Station for safe keeping.
The Douglasdale Police Station currently has a number of items that are awaiting collection.
These items include rolls of fabric which were seized during a raid at a factory, food, toiletries, bottles of alcohol, polystyrene food containers, a generator, a bicycle, golf shoes and a bright orange suitcase.
Warrant Officer Holle urged the owners to claim their property as soon as possible as unclaimed items would be sold at the state auction in May.
To claim property you can visit the Doulgasdale Police Station during office hours or call Warrant Officer Anke Holle.
