North Sands riders are tops

BROADACRES - Three North Sands Academy pupils are taking the horse-riding world by storm.

Calvin Grant rode in the discipline ‘working riding’ on Lasco at the Sanesco inter-schools championship and has been invited to attend the Sanesco awards evening on 23 July to collect his newcomers medal.

Bianca Grant, Calvin’s sister represented her school at the Gauteng Central inter-schools tournament for the first time. Emma Meyer made it through to the Gauteng Central Primary School B team and will receive her regional colours on 23 July. Meyer rode her horse, Marrakesh Genista in the 50 centimetre ideal time show jumping. She will go on to compete at the Gauteng Regional Finals.

North Sands Learning Academy said they were proud of the three pupils for entering inter-school competitions for the first time and representing their schools so well.
