All rounders paint the town red

DAINFERN - Dainfern College's all rounders were acknowledged by receiving red blazers for their efforts.

Liz van der Wath, head of marketing for the school, said the red blazer awards celebrate the achievements of those exceptional pupils who excel across all areas of college life.

To receive a red blazer, a pupil must have achieved a minimum of full colours in any three of the following areas including academia, sports, cultural arts, service or leadership.

Van der Wath said the pupils who were awarded with red blazers are genuine all rounders at the highest level, rather than specialists in just one field.

The pupils who received red blazers were Isabella Casilli for academics, leadership, music and performing arts; Sarah Forbes for hockey, leadership, music and performing arts; Brody Leather for performing arts, service, leadership and golf; Lunako Munyai for performing arts, athletics, leadership and music; Thabang Ndlovu for academics, leadership and service; Sarah-Olivia Nunn for academics, leadership and service; Stephen Pettitt for music, academics, leadership and performing arts and Bradley van der Merwe for athletics, academics, music and rugby.
