Pupils shine at art competition

FOURWAYS- Lions Club of Fourways invited pupils from Witkoppen School and Crawford College Lonehill to participate in the art contest.

This is according to representative Gerard Guinee.

Each year, the Lions Service Clubs worldwide host a peace poster competition for children ages 11 to 13. This year the theme for the poster is ‘peace, love and understanding’.

After careful judging, the Lions Fourways Club submitted the most promising posters to the district level (Gauteng) he added. At the district event held on 1 November, pupils and their parents from both schools were present at St Francis School in Benoni. Two Crawford pupils were among the 10 best candidates for the first prize of the district, doing both their school and parents proud.
