ATM scammers busted on Witkoppen

DOUGLASDALE – Four suspected ATM scammers have been arrested by Douglasdale Police after an uncanny set of events unfolded, station spokesperson Warrant Officer Balan Muthan confirmed.

The incident happened around 3pm on 10 June as officers from Douglasdale Police Station followed said suspects from a mall in Cosmo City after they allegedly tried to steal bank cards from mall patrons.

“They attempted to flee by turning onto Witkoppen Road,” stated Muthan. “But they didn’t get very far because they bumped into another motorist, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. The suspects then tried to flee on foot, but shots were fired and one suspect was injured in the left leg. The others were also apprehended and our officers arrested them right there.”
