According to Warrant Officer Bulan Muthan, head of communications for the Douglasdale police, the operation is part of a national operation that started on 30 July to visit crime hotspots, find wanted persons and other identified suspects.
Chairperson of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum, Jean Berdou said, “The operation has so far proved very successful, with various arrests having taken place.”
Berdou thanked police members for their continued dedication and hard work and urged community members to come forward if they have any information regarding crime in the area.
“Every bit of information helps. We want to leave no stone unturned. One crime is one too many and any information you have may save a family from trauma,” Berdou concluded.
