They were exposed to a variety of concepts relating to the world of finance and were tasked with the role of marketing a product using advertising terminology; understanding the concepts of profit and loss; using a budget to plan a market day; and working in teams and engaging with each other.
The pupils enjoyed the Dragon’s Den activity where marketing prototypes and product presentations were created. The youngsters emerged as potential entrepreneurs with fresh ideas.
The college believes they did justice to their enrichment week and pupils walked away more knowledgeable and wiser about finance.
