Pupils celebrate National Pizza Party Day

LEEUWKOP – A total of 96 pizzas were donated to the pupils of Sefikeng Primary School to commemorate National Pizza Party Day.

In celebration of National Pizza Party Day on 20 May, pupils of Sefikeng Primary School, situated in Leeuwkop Correctional Centre – Department of Correctional Services in Sunninghill, were given 96 pizzas.

This was all thanks to Da Vincenzo, a local restaurant which donated 96 pizzas to the Grade R and Grade 6 pupils of the school; and the Democratic Alliance (DA) was present at the commemorated day.

“As the DA, we focus on the community and the small people of the community as well. Today we took a National Special Day and gave back to the community, something small to show that we care,” said Ward 112 councillor, Candice James.

James concluded that the pupils were happy and grateful to be spoilt and the DA plans to return to the school as soon as there is another special day to celebrate.
