St Peter’s College makes a generous donation

PAULSHOF – Day care centre in Clay Oven Informal Settlement receives access to running water thanks to a kind gesture from St Peter's.

A day care centre in the Clay Oven informal settlement will now have access to running water thanks to assistance from St Peter’s College.

Sabina Molale, a resident and volunteer at the centre said, “We at Clay Oven thank you, St Peter’s, for what you have done.”

In addition to installing a tap for water, the college also assisted the school in installing a gate on the centre’s premises.

The centre looks after children from the community free of charge on a daily basis.

Molale said, “Parents are free to drop their children here when going to work or for the day to play.”

The centre also provides food and a safe place for children to play throughout the day.
