Pedestrian hit by vehicle travelling at high speed

FOURWAYS – A pedestrian has been knocked over in Fourways.

A pedestrian has been struck by a Volvo which was travelling at high speed on the corner of Cedar Road and Fourways Boulevard.

According to Jean Berdou, chairperson of Douglasdale Community Policing Forum, the pedestrian was dressed in blue overalls and is between the age of 30 and 40.

“The pedestrian is being treated by several advanced paramedic units. We advise community members to avoid the area due to a traffic build-up,” said Berdou.
