Dainfern College remembers Joost

DAINFERN – Dainfern College adds its voice to those paying tribute to rugby legend Joost Van der Westhuizen.

 

Dainfern College said it stands with Amor Vittone and the Van der Westhuizen family as South Africa remembers and honours national sporting icon, Joost van der Westhuizen.

Nina Britz, Mpang Ranamane and Noxolo Komphela (Grade 4).

The school issued its deepest sympathies to all his family and friends, and particularly his children.

Bjorn Bertholdt, Matthew Bradley and James Gray (Grade 4).

“We will always remember with pride and gratitude the role he played as a member of the victorious World Cup Rugby side in 1995 that helped to heal a fractured nation and make us all proud to be South Africans once more.

Erik Clarke, Josh Fowler and Tlotliso Thelesane (Grade 8).

Rest in peace, Joost – we salute you,” the school said.
