Douglasdale police are on the hunt for criminals who shot and killed a five-year-old boy in the Craigavon area.
Officers have launched a manhunt for three armed men after they broke into a house in a Craigavon complex on 20 January. The property was home to a family of three and the incident occurred at about 9pm.
“It is alleged that the suspects broke into the house and a scuffle ensued between the suspects and the occupants of the house,” said Captain Mpho Tshetlane, spokesperson for the Douglasdale station.
“The suspects then took a TV and fled the scene.”
After the incident, the parents of the five-year-old boy realised that he had been shot in the upper body during the scuffle.
“He was rushed to the hospital where he passed away on 21 January. No one has been arrested yet.”
Police investigations are continuing.
“We appeal to anyone with information that might assist the police investigation to contact Douglasdale police on 011 699 1333 or the police crime stop number 08600 10111,” Tshetlhane concluded.
