Crawford College Lonehill matrics have plenty to smile about

LONEHILL – Crawford College Lonehill celebrates its 100 per cent matric pass rate.


Crawford College Lonehill rejoiced at a 100 per cent pass rate, with 98 per cent of their students passing with a bachelor pass. Two per cent passed on a diploma level.

School principal Greg Theron was delighted with the matric class’s performance. He said that the school performed remarkably well this year and that he is extremely proud of each and every student’s achievement.

Dennis Zubov was the top achiever, passing with a 90.84 per cent average. He obtained eight distinctions in English home language, Afrikaans first additional language, mathematics, advanced programme mathematics, geography, information technology, life orientation, and physical sciences.

Both Olushola Adelusi and Saloni Gandhi achieved eight distinctions with averages of 89.69 and 89.30 respectively.

Five of the top achievers received seven distinctions, namely Michaela Neophytou with 89.84 per cent, Kush Bhatt 88.69 per cent, Joshua Ward with 87.46 per cent, Björn Stragier with 86.61 per cent, and Lisa Malherbe with 85.84 per cent.

Dylan Trowsdale and Michael Chinaka obtained six and five distinctions respectively. Trowsdale achieved an average of 87.23 per cent with Chinaka achieving an average of 86.53 per cent.
