Officers nab two men during routine patrol

PRESIDENT PARK – Midrand Police nabbed two men for possession of drugs during a stop and search operation on Alsation Road in President Park, Midrand on July 17.


Midrand Police Station officers apprehended two men for alleged possession of drugs during a stop-and-search operation on Alsation Road in President Park on July 17.

According to the Midrand Police Station spokesperson, Constable Eliot Mabulane, the officers stopped the two men while they were driving a Volkswagen Polo Vivo and searched them.

“Upon conducting their search operation, the two suspects’ drugs were found in their possession and they were detained at the Midrand Police Station. The two men are now awaiting to attend their court appearance at the Midrand Magistrates’ Court,” he said.

Mabulane added that people should be aware that once they were arrested and charged, the end result was going to be a conviction which limited one’s chances of getting employed.

“Police are all over the area monitoring all sorts of criminal actions.”
