Curro Academy Riverside’s first matric class set a good precedent

RIVERSIDE – Fourie said the Class of 2021 has set a good precedent despite challenges as a result of Covid-19 restrictions and uncertainties.

The principal at Curro Academy Riverside, Mari-lene Fourie congratulated the 2021 matrics – the first class matriculating at the school.

Fourie said the Class of 2021 has set a good precedent despite challenges as a result of Covid-19 restrictions and uncertainties. “We wish our matric Class of 2021 all the best in their future endeavours. They persevered through a tough and challenging year. The result does not define who they are, but a character of perseverance. They must go into the world and bring the change it desperately needs,” she said.

The school achieved a 95.2% National Senior Certificate pass rate, 8% tertiary exemption, 51% grade average, 40% bachelor degree pass rate and 40% diploma pass rate. “We had our very first Grade 12 [class] matriculating this year. Their hard work and dedication showed in their results. I would like to congratulate the matric Class of 2021 for obtaining a 95.2% pass rate. We are off to a good start, and it is quite clear that we can achieve a 100% pass rate… in future.”
