Domestic workers educated on first aid

DOUGLASDALE – In a crime awareness campaign with first responders, domestic workers in the Sector 4 region of Douglasdale were given valuable information in case of emergencies.

Douglasdale Police Station alongside Nightguard Security and paramedics hosted a crime awareness campaign with the Domestic Workers Forum at Eagle Nest Conference Centre in Fourways.

Spokesperson for the station, Captain Mpho Tshetlhane said there were a number of topics addressed at the awareness campaign on March 15.
“The purpose was to raise awareness on domestic violence, gender-based violence, common robberies, theft, armed robberies, house robberies, burglary, home safety and first aid. Pamphlets on safety tips were also distributed. We thank all role-players who made the event successful,” she said.
