Community puts on their running shoes to run for the Douglasdale CPF Sector 4 fundraising initiative

For the first time, Sector 4 of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum organised a fun run where many got to run the scenic routes of Steyn City Properties.

Sector 4 of the Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) alongside police hosted a fun run at the illustrious Steyn City Properties to raise funds for various projects.

Participants could take part in two routes, either the 3.5km or 5km, but all could have access to the property’s 300m lagoon for a fun day of water activities after a fun, but challenging race.
Chairperson of the Sector 4 CPF, Manoj Bhoola was elated at the turnout for the race since it was the first of its kind.
“We got some really amazing accolades on the day. People were saying it was the best organised fun run for a worthy cause. The scenery of Steyn City was amazing and access to the lagoon was the cherry on top,” he said.

The Fourways Review journalist, Khomotso Makgabutlane followed the participants from start to finish at the race, and captured some of the moments of the race.
