Broadacres gets a dreamy makeover

Broadacres Academy proudly unveiled its newest addition, the Senior Prep campus, after much anticipation.

Broadacres Academy has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Senior Prep campus, which is sure to revolutionise the educational experience for learners and their families. The campus has been meticulously planned and constructed over several months, culminating in its grand opening on May 6.

The vision to create this exceptional campus was set in motion back in August 2023, when Skye Architects and Farquharson Construction began the ground-breaking process. The Senior Prep campus embodies the school’s philosophy of embracing the ‘Age of Adventure’ and has been designed to ignite the spark of curiosity and exploration in every student.

The campus features an array of exciting and innovative amenities that cater to students’ diverse interests and preferences. From state-of-the-art laboratories to sprawling sports fields and more.

It is a sight to behold, with its stunning vistas and open classrooms that blend seamlessly with the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The architects have outdone themselves by incorporating unique amenities that go beyond the norm, such as an adventure playground and a nature walk that leads to peaceful outdoor classrooms, according to the school’s Anita Fourie.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, students and parents were invited to explore the campus during a fun-filled scavenger hunt, followed by a delightful family picnic outdoors. It was a day filled with excitement and anticipation as families eagerly embraced the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Senior Prep campus.

Reflecting on the significance of this milestone, the overly excited campus head Bridget Tinniswood said with humbleness and pride, “May the door of this school be wide enough to receive all who need human love and friendship. May it welcome all who have cares to unburden, thanks to express, and hopes to nurture.

“May the doors of this school be narrow enough to shut out pettiness and pride, envy and enmity. May its threshold be no stumbling block to your or strained feet. May it be too high to admit complacency, selfishness, and harshness. May this school be for all who enter the doorway to the fulness of life.

“We look forward to the countless adventures that lie ahead. With our commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment, the campus is poised to become a beacon of excellence in education, inspiring generations of students to reach their fullest potential.”
