Rotary Club recounts 2024 achievements, sets sights on 2025 goals

Looking ahead to 2025, the club has set its sights on several key priorities, including collaborating with schools to spread the My Body is My Body initiative, introducing the Rotary Community Corps programme, and growing club membership.

The president of the Fourways Main Reef Rotary Club Ebhodaghe Iyere could not help but beam with pride as he reflects on their accomplishments in 2024, while also looking ahead to their priorities for 2025.

“We are thrilled to have made a positive impact in our community through our various projects and initiatives,” said Iyere.

“From promoting local artists and entrepreneurs through our Art@theManor event to supporting education and empowerment initiatives, we have remained committed to serving our community and promoting Rotary’s global goals.”

Two of the club’s greatest achievements in 2024 were its contributions to the End Polio Now campaign and the Rotary Foundation.

“These contributions demonstrate our commitment to Rotary’s vision of creating lasting change worldwide.”

Despite facing challenges in securing community sponsorships and donations due to economic constraints, the club remained resilient and adapted to the changing environment.

“We learned valuable lessons about the importance of diversifying our funding sources and exploring alternative revenue streams.”

Looking ahead to 2025, the club has set its sights on several key priorities, including collaborating with schools to spread the My Body is My Body initiative, introducing the Rotary Community Corps programme, and growing club membership.

“We are excited to build on our achievements in 2024 and make an even greater impact in our community in 2025. We remain committed to serving our community, promoting Rotary’s global goals, and inspiring positive change.”
