MSC Cruises makes a cinematic splash in F1®

Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, and MSC Cruises hit the big screen as F1: The Movie races into cinemas, showcasing the cruise line’s high-speed partnership with Formula 1®.

Gearheads and gamers came in numbers to Movies at Montecasino on July 3 as MSC Cruises made a spectacular splash into cinemas with the global release of F1: The Movie.

The much-anticipated racing drama, starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, tells the story of a former driver making a comeback with a fictional APXGP team, with MSC Cruises’ branding seamlessly integrated across race cars, drivers’ overalls, and racetrack barriers.

The film, shot during real Formula 1® Grand Prix weekends, brings MSC Cruises’ global partnership with Formula 1® to life on the big screen, adding authentic racetrack energy to the cinematic experience. “Formula 1® and MSC Cruises are both built on innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence – on land and at sea,” said MSC Cruises managing director Ross Volk.

Volk announced a multi-year extension of its global partnership with Formula 1® through 2030, ensuring fans will continue seeing the brand at race weekends worldwide. The partnership includes title races, trackside branding, and hospitality activations, while MSC sister brand, Explora Journeys, will also feature at select Grand Prixs.
