Champions Academy delivered a weekend of football drama and dominance as both the U11 and U14 teams secured their places in the quarterfinals of the cup tournament.

The U11 side faced Rangers FC in a tense fixture at Rosebank Primary School. After a thrilling 2-2 draw in regular time, the match went to penalties. With calm under pressure and unwavering focus, Champions Academy triumphed 5-4 in the shootout.

Coach Kamohelo Moobi praised his players, “The boys showed heart and maturity beyond their age. They stuck to the game plan and never gave up. This result is a reflection of their commitment to training. We’re proud of their growth.”

The day got even better as the U14s stepped onto the pitch and delivered a powerhouse performance against Rangers U14. Their 7-0 victory showcased technical excellence and ruthless efficiency.

Coach Owen Vundla also shared his pride, “From the first whistle, the boys were focused and hungry. They executed every instruction perfectly. I’m impressed by their teamwork and the discipline they showed today. Glory to God for giving us this platform.”
