Every win counts for SPARK Riversands
From classrooms to community projects and international arenas, Riversands celebrates a year defined by teamwork, perseverance, and the power of shared success.
At Spark Riversands, success isn’t measured only in trophies or test scores; it’s seen in every learner’s effort, every teacher’s growth, and every act of community spirit. As the 2025 school year wraps up, the school is celebrating a series of remarkable ‘wins’ that reflect its core values and collective dedication.
“This year has reminded us that progress comes in many forms. Whether it’s our scholars shining on the world stage, our teachers reaching personal milestones, or parents lending a hand during events, every contribution matters. These moments define our school’s biggest highlights or milestones from 2025,” said the school principal, Zamajola Majola.

Two learners proudly represented the school internationally, one in soccer, another in karate, proving that determination and discipline can take you far beyond the classroom. Behind their success stands a team of passionate coaches and supportive parents who embody the school’s spirit of teamwork.

The spirit of achievement extended to staff as well, with five members graduating from university, underscoring the school’s commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning. Parents continued to play an active role throughout the year, offering insight, encouragement, and helping hands during school events.

From lively celebrations like Heritage Day and Sports Day to heartfelt gatherings for Mother’s and Father’s Day, each event strengthened the bonds between families, staff, and scholars. The school’s successful sanitary pads drive, a collaboration with another local school, further showcased the school’s dedication to community upliftment and equity.
Looking ahead to 2026, the school is preparing to introduce Grade 7, an exciting new chapter that extends its educational journey. “Adding a new grade is more than just expansion. It’s a sign of our continued commitment to provide high-quality education and a safe, nurturing space for our children to grow,” said Majola.
As the festive season begins, Spark Riversands extends warm wishes to all its families. “We are deeply grateful for the understanding and patience shown throughout the year, especially during busy moments. Our community truly turns challenges into opportunities,” she added
