Crawford International Lonehill Pre-Primary looks ahead to 2026 with purpose

The school steps into 2026 with renewed purpose and a vision for refinement, following a year principal Kopano Dandala describes as a sunrise of growth, courage, and community.

Crawford International Lonehill Pre-Primary is stepping confidently into 2026 with a renewed sense of purpose, excitement, and vision.

According to principal Kopano Dandala, the year ahead will be one of refinement and renewal, as the school continues to strengthen its early years offering as a flagship international baccalaureate (IB) environment.

The school looks forward to welcoming new families into its community and enhancing spaces that feel like a true home away from home, warm, intentional, and deeply rooted in belonging.

These goals, she explains, are not just operational priorities, but an extension of the school’s identity. “The work ahead is purposeful, and the possibilities are wide.” Dandala noted that 2026 will build on the strong foundations laid over the past year.

Only after casting her eyes toward the future does Dandala turn back to reflect on the journey that brought the school here, a year she describes as one that felt like a sunrise unfolding step by step.

The beginning of 2025 was gentle and steady, and as the year progressed, it grew brighter with possibility. Although it demanded much of the school community, it offered even more in return. She celebrates the courage of the children, the heartfelt dedication of teachers and the trust and hope carried by families.

“Each milestone, whether a quiet achievement in a classroom or a joyful celebration on the school fields, served as a reminder of the extraordinary spirit that defines our school community.”

She noted how children’s inquiry deepened beautifully throughout the year, with learners questioning, imagining, and exploring with a curiosity that set the tone for rich learning experiences.

Classrooms transformed into warm, welcoming, and intentionally designed spaces, embodying the philosophy of the environment as a third teacher, inspiring engagement and wonder.

She said behind the scenes, staff development soared. Teachers strengthened their craft, embraced shared purpose, and held the school’s vision with remarkable care, ensuring every child felt seen, safe, and celebrated.

“Families, too, played a vital role, engaging wholeheartedly in learning journeys, open days, celebrations, holiday clubs, and parent workshops, reinforcing the close-knit partnership that anchors the school’s culture.”

She added that children’s confidence blossomed across all ages, from the youngest explorers finding their voices to the Grade 0 leaders stepping into their roles with pride.
