“The 2026 inter-house dala marked the first inter-house event of the year and set an exceptional tone for the months ahead.”
This was said by Chelyne Schroeder of Crawford International Lonehill. “The gala was a vibrant celebration of sport, school spirit, and community, with outstanding performances in the pool and enthusiastic support from the stands.”

Schroeder said the gala showcased impressive swimming performances, with learners from all houses competing with determination and sportsmanship. “The atmosphere around the pool was filled with excitement, with enthusiastic support from fellow learners, parents, and staff members.

Adding to the lively spirit of the day, Grade 1 learners proudly joined in, cheering on their teams and contributing to the sense of unity and community that defined the event.”
Outstanding individual performances were recognised across various categories. Allison Short earned the junior girls Victrix Ludorum title, with Emerson Sing named runner-up. In the junior boys division, Rukudzo Svinurai secured Victor Ludorum, while Arineaho Mphephu and Kellan McEvoy shared the runner-up position.

Senior honours saw Yaya Masiya crowned Victrix Ludorum, with Chloe Goossen as runner-up. Ntando Dlamini achieved Victor Ludorum, followed by Jonathan Chirokote as runner-up.
The house competition delivered equally exciting results. Ladson secured first place overall, followed by Cameron in second place and Barrett in third. Barrett also earned special recognition by winning the Spirit Award for their outstanding enthusiasm and support throughout the gala.
