Elisa Matabane has catwalked from the Miss Fourways stage to representing Gauteng on a national platform.
She was recently crowned MUSA’s Miss Teen International SA Gauteng for 2026. She said hearing her name announced was a moment she will never forget, as she was amongst contestants from all nine provinces who were competing for the national title. “I felt a rush of gratitude and disbelief. It was as if all the hard work, late nights of preparation, and the lessons I’ve learnt through Miss Fourways had come together in that single moment.

“This title means more than just a crown to me. It represents the voice of young women in Gauteng and the responsibility to inspire others to believe in their own potential.”

The young titleholder, who began her pageant journey through the Miss Fourways organisation under the mentorship of founder Mimi Qatsi, is already hard at work preparing for the next stage of the competition. “I’m focusing on runway training, public speaking, and community work. Mimi Qatsi and the Miss Fourways organisation have instilled in me the importance of discipline and authenticity, so I carry those values into every rehearsal.”

While winning the national title is a goal, Elisa said she also hopes to represent her province with pride. “Never underestimate the power of your dreams. Miss Fourways gave me a platform to grow, to be mentored, and to discover my voice. To every young girl in Fourways, your journey may start small, but with courage and guidance, it can take you to places you never imagined.”

Miss Fourways founder Mimi Qatsi said Elisa’s achievement reflects the organisation’s commitment to developing confident, purpose-driven young women. “Watching Elisa rise from Miss Teen Fourways to MUSA’s Miss Teen International SA Gauteng is proof that our organisation is more than just a pageant; it’s a foundation for growth, confidence, and leadership.
