Fourways High, Dainfern College celebrate stellar matric results
Parents, teachers and friends couldn’t help but float on cloud nine as they celebrate the Class of 2024 from Fourways High and Dainfern College.

If principal Andrew Holiday from Fourways High could carry the class of 2024 on his shoulders, he would do it with no hesitation to show how proud he is of their excellence.
Last year the school received 98.2% pass rate and slightly increased it to 98.6% this year. Holliday said, it is not a 100% pass that they strive for however, he is proud of the students and teachers.
“The results are largely their work. We tend to pressurise them and say it is the schools that produce the results – it is to a point, but it is largely their work.

“I am happy with the results; we got results we are proud of. We were a bit worried during the prelim exams but here we are today.”
Hayiore Swartz, who obtained six distinctions and one of the top students from Fourways High, said she is happy to start paving her career in medicine at the University of Stellenbosch.
“I feel a bit disappointed by some of the marks but overall, I am happy with the distinctions I got. I want to venture into medicine so I can help our people.”
On the other hand, Dainfern College got a 100% pass. This is a moment of pride for Michelle Hoffmann, the deputy principal of academics at the school.

She said she is happy with how the learners have performed and is extremely proud of them as the school community.
“We have had an incredible group of matriculants. To the class of 2024, your teachers and parents are proud of you and my message to you is to take all the knowledge, skills and values you’ve learnt here at Dainfern College in the last few years and use it to shape the future you are destined and proud of.”
